8:15 am : Robert Hershberger and David McConnell just called to say that they have been watching the Black-tailed Gull sitting atop the blue industrial buildings on the east side of the harbor. They have seen it in flight as well. They are scoping the bird from point C (the cement bridge) looking northeast. In addtion, an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull is also present, so observers be wary to assume any dark-backed gull is the Black-tailed.
