Just looking out my office window on the banks of Hoover Reservoir, there were 3 horned grebes, a pied-billed grebe and a loon all swimming and diving by the office boat dock just north of the dam. There are a raft of hooded mergansers on the far shore. The loons have been pretty "common" (haha) the last week. I have seen at least two every day.
