First spotted by Paul Cypher of MI, the black tailed gull did a flyover of area C (bridge) around 8am, headed upriver. A group tried to relocate it further upriver with no success. Also observed from area c was an adult snowy owl (scopes necessary). Looking NE from bridge towards blue-roofed buildings the owl was in a grassy patch next to the railroad tracks/cars. I also thought I caught a glimpse of a little gull near the harbor mouth, flying, mixed with hundreds of Bonapartes (black underwing distinctive and correct size, but limited view, not relocated).

The rain isn't too bad for those still thinking about trying for the birds!

Cheers,
Heather
