Well kind of intimidating to post after all those rarities great birders saw on the lake today.  I am not much of a lake watcher can only see closer in stuff so here goes what I saw today:  Went to Sims Park in Euclid from 10:30 to 11:10am.  Female Surf Scoter in the water was the only scoter, Red-breasted Mergansers closer in only saw up to 200 in water.  Saw group of 8-9 Bufflehead fly east. Many Bonaparte's Gulls.  Many Juncos seen.

Went to Villa Angela/Wildwood from 11:45 to 1:30.  Many Juncos seen, saw one American Tree Sparrow, heard others, two Swamp Sparrows, 4 Song Sparrows, Chipping Sparrow, Winter Wren, 3 FOX SPARROWS in Villa Angela closer to lake furthest west (there were more in the park) Hermit Thrush 1.  While I was in front of mobile home park saw 9 Ruddy Ducks in front of rock piles,  while trudging through the beach almost missed 7 large birds flew east near rock piles and at least 6 were White-winged Scoters.

Went back to Sims Park from 1:45 to 3pm.  Was much more windy now.  Many more Red-breasted Mergansers flying & in water.  Group of six scoters in water at least 3 where White-winged Scoters further northeast of eastern bluff.  Not sure the other three but did see 2 Black Scoters fly in from west (no white on their bellies) and land.  That is all I could find.

Not really seeing White-throated Sparrows so any sparrow sound I am hearing now that sounds like White-throated or Song like  "pssss" more often than not has been a Fox Sparrow as they haven't been singing.  Whenever they feed on the ground and see anybody they fly up to a bush or low tree for awhile and then fly to a higher tree on lookout then fly further away to ground.  But their "pssss" gives them away.
