After unsuccessfully spending yesterday morning at the Delaware Wildlife
Area in search of Rusty Blackbirds (probably too many hunters around) I
found them much closer to home. This morning I visited Hoover Reservoir at
Oxbow road and found three in the marshy wooded area to the right of the
road (going toward the reservoir). They were feeding on the ground, and
could be seen from the road. Also present on the other side, on the
reservoir were 14 Ruddy Duck.
