headed out birding with Haans today.
 
Headlands @ sunrise - 42* 
strong winds 25 mph from west
BIG waves!
headed out to the jetty
Ruddy Duck - 15+
Horned Grebe - 40+
Boneparte Gull - 800+
Red-breasted Merganser - 200+
Common Merfanser - 20+
Snow Bunting - 50-ish
Common Tern - 1
Ring-billed Gull - 30-ish
Ring-neced Duck - 30-ish
Tree Sparrow - 3
unknown sandpiper - 2
we were here for 3 hours and were joined
by Ray H for over an hour
 
headed to Eastlake Power Plant
on the way we were paralleled by
an immature Bald Eagle for a mile
(just before the Chagrin River)
at the plant the waves were CRASHING HARD!
Red-breasted Merganser - 200+ 
Bonies - 30-ish
RB Gull - 50+
Bald Eagle - 1 (adult)
there for 10-15 minutes
 
headed to Sunset Park in Willoughby
some fly-by
RB Gulls
a few Vs of RBMs
a couple Bonies
stay for 5 minutes
 
headed to Sims Park (Euclid)
Surf Scoter - 2 (beautiful)
Black Scoter - 14
a few RB Gulls
a few RBM fly-bys
 
head to Wildwood (Cleve)
Horned Grebe - 6
RB Guools - 20-ish
Herring Gull - 1
Rock Pigeon - 1
 
head to Gordon Park
only Mallerds in the bay (by boat launch)
and a few flying RB Gulls
Horned Grebe - 10-ish
west of Inner City Yacht Club
White-winged Scoter - 2
Black Scoter - 1
only a few flying RB Gulls
 
lunch @ Johnny Mangoes
 
head to Lakewood Park
a few hundred Bonies out a few hindred
yards
a couple dozen RB Gulls
a hundred-ish RBMs as well
