Just to update what I have seen the last two days.  Saturday 11/11 saw 23 scoters (8 Surf Scoters & 15 Black Scoters) five Buffleadhead.

Today from 10:45 to 11:45am there were 24-25 scoters in the same place as yesterday just left of pier out a short ways.  You don't need a scope to see them.

Surf Scoters  8 (1beautiful male, 7 females)
Black Scoters 16-17 (3 males, 13-14 females)

Many Red-breasted Mergansers and some Bonaparte's Gulls

I saw two small brown birds fly east & then back overhead  and Doug Deppen was able to ID them as Snow Buntings.

My pictures of the Surf Scoter yesterday when the lake was more calm are closer than I have had before.
