Greetings-

Had a few hours to hit the lakefront this a.m. A major snow squall hit Cleveland in the late morning, visibility nill and roads horrid. BEFORE this I hit Burke Lakefront Airport where the only thing of note was an amazingly owl-shaped white piece of plastic on the grassy strips. Gave the heart a serious jolt.

Wendy Park was good, with 1000+ Bonaparte's Gulls, and thousands more Ring-billed and many hundreds of Herrings, plus a few Great Black-backs. The highlight was an immature Pomarine Jaeger that came in very close to shore, within the harbor, and put on fantastic aerial displays as it chased after Ring-bills and Bonies. From what I've heard there are up to two immature Poms that have been hanging out the past several days along the shore of Edgewater just to the west and at Wendy.

Good birding-

JB
