A northern shrike was prominently perched in the lakeside thicket along the Goldernrod Trail (the inner paved loop) between the bridge and the big red cedar just before noon today. This park has pretty consistently produced shrikes over the past several years. Geauga Park District's WC Best Wildlife is located on Rt 44 (Ravenna Rd) in Munson Twp, just south of the City of Chardon.
