So, as the clock comes close to midnight, I'm ready to start owling to kick
off the year. Su's shrike evaded us, but would be awesome to make that a
year bird and life bird for me tomorrow!! Also checked for Short-ears
while we were at Funk, nothing I could see until the light was gone.

I'm wondering if any other listserv subscribers are going to be taking the
County Big Year Throw-down Challenge.

I am hoping for 150-175 for Wayne County -- curious who all is thinking of
doing the same in their home county. Would be nice to have an official
county list to compare our total to. Looks like Ohio is at 425, pretty sure
not likely to get 50% of those, but that would be incredible.

Our back yard total for the year was 64, although i'm almost completely
sure i heard golden-crowns this afternoon, no visual confirmation.

Cheers, and to any other county listers: BRING IT!!!
