Below is the original post. Be aware that it could be on any of the breakwall/jettys. This is the first one you come to as you drive 
out towards the sandspit/beach area on the unpaved sand (be careful you don't get stuck) and the bird was right along the base
of this in the shoreline muck and on/near the rocks. Another way of saying this is that it is the western most breakwall, I believe.
I just received a call from Bill Kinead. He is at Conneaut and currently 
watching a Purple Sandpiper. The bird is located by the break wall BEFORE you 
make the sharp right turn to head out to the spit. It is walking around in muck 
- the breakwall behind it and the 'beach' to the right. Good luck to anyone 
trying to see this bird. They have been real hard to find this year.
