Up to 12 Short-eared owls have been seen at one time on Hite Rd. west of
New Athens. They were accompanied by 5 Northern Harriers. Yesterday just
west of the Harrison County Airport there were 7 Short-eared Owls, 5
Northern Harriers and 2 Rough-legged Hawks. Keeping our eyes open for a
Snowy Owl and Golden Eagle. Scott Pendleton
