I just read an interesting posting from a fishing forum I subscribe to.
Another subscriber was driving on Warner Road in Trumbull County on December
3 and heard a loud thud on his roof. He also saw a Bald Eagle land in a tree
next to the road. He stopped to check his car and discovered a large dent on
the roof. There was a 15" White Sucker (Catostomus commersonii), still
alive, on the road behind his car. He posted a nice photo of the adult Bald
Eagle. There are several eagle nests in that part of Trumbull County. A few
minutes after leaving he decided to take a picture of the sucker too but
when he returned to the scene both the eagle and sucker were gone.
