I think #OHbirds would work for a "standard" twitter hashtag that could be
used for any good birds -- in fact, it would be great if birders on twitter
in other states followed the same format (#CObirds in Colorado, #PAbirds in
PA, etc.).  Maybe I should promote the idea a bit more and see if it
takes!  :)

The best low-tech solution is to just exchange numbers with any birders you
run into, and call to check in every so often.
