This morning I counted 43 tundra swans with about 30 ring-billed gulls sitting on the ice on a flooded field at the corner of St. Rt. 47 and Byard-Kessler Road east of Ansonia in northern Darke County.
They were first reported to the Darke Co. Parks Nature Center on Tues., Dec.6, but this morning was the first morning that I was able to get out and check on them.
This afternoon there were still 39 there, but no gulls.
