Jim McCormac commented about the Ovenbird at Inniswood Metro Gardens in
Westerville in his post today. Inniswood Metro Gardens are within the Hoover
Reservoir Christmas Bird Count circle. Jennifer Kleinrichert, an
Environmental Educator at the Gardens has been keeping me current on the Ovenbird's
status. My interest is from the stand point as the circle's compiler.
Jennifer and the Garden's staff are interested from the stand point of the
experience for visitors to the Metro Gardens. To that effect, Inniswood Gardens
has a program scheduled on the count day, Saturday, December 17, 2011, to
start at 8:00 AM, to participate in the Hoover Reservoir Christmas Bird Count.
Jennifer would love to see you take part in the program. Maybe you can be
part of history. That will depend on the Ovenbird.

On another note, we have three Eastern Screech Owls under watch for count
day in the Hoover Reservoir circle. The Hoover Reservoir Count is this
Saturday and the Columbus and Delaware Christmas Bird Counts are this Sunday.
The weather (as of now) is predicted to be decent so why not come out and
join one of them.

Charlie Bombaci
