Fellow birders,

We set an outrageous goal today of 50 species and all 7 Woodpeckers.
At the moment, we stand at 48 species and 6 woodpeckers. We're going to
miss on the woodpeckers, but have not given up on the 50 species. Have a
good location for Screech Owl and a possible Barn Owl, and even a possible
Great Horned Owl. Therefore, the hunt continues. Even if we don't make
it, 48 species on Day 1 blows away the record of 41 set quite a few years
ago. All of these species were seen in Perry County, 26 in our own yard.
More later, after the owl search.
