I saw the Black-tailed Gull today from about 1:15 to 1:25 this afternoon along with four other birders. . It was on the roof of one of the four big blue buildings just west of Lakeshore Park. It made a short flight to show off its black tail than soon disappeared in a mass flight of gulls. Hopefully it returned to be seen by the later-arriving birders. I left about 1:45. I did not see the gull earlier in the day at the cement bridge and vicinity. Nor did I see the Snowy Owl or hear of anyone seeing it.
