We drove to Highland County this afternoon to search for the reported
sandhill cranes. We found approx. 200-300 that took flight from the Highland
Quarry about 5:00 p.m. Wonderful experience. Also, saw several groups in
fields around the area. Also, there were various ducks (getting too dark to
identify), geese, swans and a fox.
This is located in the area of Roush Rd, Kessler Rd, Danville Rd - Delorme
pg 76, 39deg 12', 83 deg 44'
