I have been trying to learn the roosting habits of the Eastern Screech Owl in a tree cavity near Otterbein Lake and the Alum Creek trail, Westerville, OH. Yesterday, 12/31, it returned to the tree at 7:41AM. This morning it returned at 7:36AM. Both days the owl stayed visible in the cavity for about 15 minutes. It then disappeared deeper into the cavity. It appears to move up and down in the cavity, as sometimes during the day it is visible, and at other times it cannot be seen. Both mornings have been cloudy. I do not yet know what time it leaves for the night. I have not heard any vocalizations. I will be posting some video on YouTube as soon as I can get it processed.

Regards,
Tom
