I birded the Slate Run Metro Park Wetlands SE of Columbus 9 Jan at 11 AM.  
No ducks or geese seen on the mostly unfrozen ponds but did have 3 
Sandhill Cranes flyover and land.  I have seen them here 2 other times in 
the last 3 months and they may be in residence at this site for the time 
being.  Also saw one Pileated WP which is a first for me at Slate Run and 
a welcome addition to my smallish year list so far. Have a great week all.
