Hello Ohio Birders,

I've had a secondhand report of two snowy owls seen in the vicinity of the intersection of Akerman and Kenny Rds. in Columbus. I have taken a follow-up look and have not seen any, but I'm posting this so that central Ohio birders might be aware of the possibility. The location is near the OSU west campus where there is some decent habitat and there are past records of snowy owls from the area.

If you decide to look, be warned that OSU police may ticket any vehicle parked without authorization on university property.

Dave Horn
Columbus
