Five Amercan Pipits at the beach along edge of water at about 8:30 am.
Long-eared Owl at nearby Hisey Park.  Beautiful male Purple Finch at Spring
Valley WA feeders as well as 3 Fox Sparrows (The Wulkers found 4.).  Common
Loon from the end of Harveysburg Road at 2:00 pm.  No Virginia Rails seen
or heard during the day and at dusk at Sring Valley WA.  No Black Scoter
found.  Met Paul Gardner, Bill Whan and Jeff Grabemeier (spelling?) at CCSP
Visitor Center and showed them the way to Hisey Park.  January 100 quest at
78 for 5 weekend days of birding.  Note boardwalk closed at Spring Valley
due to waterfowl hunting.  Many waterfowl hunters at Caesar Creek mornings
but mostly cleared out by afternoon.
