My wife and I and several others spotted the Hardin County Snowy Owl near the intersection of Township Rd. 25 and Ohio 177, just north of the village of Roundhead, yesterday, 1/1/12, at about 3:30 PM. The bird was in a field of corn stubble to the northeast of this intersection. A good morning viewpoint might be from somewhere around the intersection of Township Roads 21 and 25 where they come together to form a point. This is just to the east of the described location.

All of this past weekend and today we have, among many others birds, approximately 20 Pine Siskins visiting our feeders in Miamisburg.

Good birding to all and Happy New Year!
