Hi folks,
If you are wondering about the directions to Fernald in SW Ohio, this should help.

  1. From the north (i.e. I-75 South from the Dayton area or I-71 South from the Columbus area):
take I-275 WEST toward Indiana. This will take you to the SW section of Cincinnati.
I-275 merges with I-74 for a brief section. If you are already on I-275, you won't notice the
merge. There was some construction in this area a few weeks ago.
Take the Miamitown/Rt. 128 exit and turn right (head north).
Go through Miamitown, past New Haven Road, and then turn left on WILEY Road.
Fernald will be on your right in less than a mile.

   2. From the south (i.e. I-75 North or I-71 North from the Kentucky side): take I-275 WEST toward
Indiana.
I-275 merges with I-74 briefly. WATCH for the Miamitown/Rt. 128 exit.
Turn LEFT off the exit and head north.
Go through Miamitown, past New Haven Road, and turn left on Wiley.
Fernald will be on your right in less than a mile.

If none of this helps, or doesn't make sense, try putting "Miamitown" into your GPS unit, if you
have one in your vehicle or on your phone.

Good birding! Hope it stays around a few days!

Ann Oliver
