Hi all,

Abnormally pigmented birds always cause a stir, as has the leucistic Northern Cardinal that is being seen along the Olentangy River in Columbus as reported on this listserv by Paul Hurtado.

Cardinal fans will probably appreciate a YELLOW cardinal, as was found three years ago by Tom Ruggles in Muskingum County. I saw Tom during the Chandlersville CBC last Friday, and was delighted to learn that the "yellowbird" is still alive and well. Tom kindly sent along some photos and should you like to see a yellow cardinal, I've posted them on my blog: http://jimmccormac.blogspot.com/

Jim
