All day Tuesday I watched a chipping sparrow come to the window feeder at my office off of Broad Street east of Mt. Carmel East Hospital.  Yes, a chipping sparrow.  I tried hard to turn it into a tree sparrow, but it refused and remained tiny (the size of a chickadee) and clear breasted.  A nice visitor to start the first workday of 2012.  Good birding!  Pam Unger

We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same. --Carlos Castenada
