Greetings all -

Dan Sanders, Doreene Linzell and I found an immature Snowy Owl at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland this morning. It was sitting tight on the third grassy strip out from Marginal Road, in the central part of the airport. I'm sure the bird moves around quite a bit. Traditionally the eastern part of the airport is best for this species. The best spot to search is on marginal road, where you can pull off on the median strip on the south side of the road, and walk up the grassy hill to get a better view of the entire airport.

Also present there today, fide Paula Lozano, upwards of 6 American Kestrels, Red-tailed Hawk, Bald Eagle.

Terry Martincic found three Short-eared Owls on the eastern end of the airport at 5:15 p.m. this evening.

Best of birding-

JB
