There is a pair of red-shouldered hawks reliably in "wetland" area on N
Marketplace Dr. between the defunct Geauga Lake Park and the shopping
center with Target and Home Despot. The best spot to see them is just
south of where the road turns away from the railroad tracks. One is
smaller with prominant red streaking on the breast and belly while the
other is much more pale and somewhat larger. They've been close to the
road and low to the ground perched on posts and shrubs, providing good
views. There is another pair of red-shouldered hawks in the wetlands on
the grounds of the Weils assisted living facility. These also frequently
perch close to the ground and provide nice views.
