I arrived at Toledo's Woodlawn Cemetery around ten or so and found a nice
flock of White-winged Crossbills feeding in a large sweetgum in Section 43.
They also fed on the ground beneath the tree, picking seeds from the
grass or holding the round sweetgum fruit and working to get seeds from it.
They occasionally flew off, giving me the chance to hear their calls but they
(or perhaps birds from a different flock?) soon returned and resumed
feeding.

Really neat birds. Thanks to all of you who responded to my request for
tips on finding them.
