The Wilds lacked birds in quantity today, but we were happy with the quality. We had two sightings of Golden Eagle, and a nice view of the Northern Shrike in the scope. Its location is noted in the eBird report below. Birding in general was slow, but it was a gorgeous day to be out. Insects and spiders were out in the unseasonably warm weather, also. Time constraints prevented waiting until dusk for owls.

"Mockingbirds don't do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don't do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That's why it's a sin to kill a mockingbird."
-- Harper Lee
