Thank you to all who have expressed your support, offered to help (and
voiced your frustration). In this day and age I sometimes feel a devotion
to the truth is viewed as a character flaw.

If I ever am motivated to conduct another study of the type I did in 2004,
I will do so in compliance with the applicable regulations. With the help
of a few other volunteers a very accurate study could be conducted. I
would propose a protocol of asking vehicles to stop at a point near the
boardwalk parking area to give number of occupants and zip code, The
vehicle could then be given a non permanent sticker to prevent double
counting. Easy enough and very accurate. One wonders why this is not the
standard method for sanctioned studies?

Best wishes

Haans
