We have been seeing a couple of Ospreys flying over Hogback Ridge Preserve near the north end of Alum Creek Reservoir this week with the most recent sighting around noon today. Staff ventured down the road to view the nesting platforms after sightings over the preserve this week but did not observe any activity near the nesting platforms. The north end of the reservoir along Hogback Road is still "dry" except two channels for Alum Creek itself so they may be hunting farther south where there is more water coverage to search for food.
