I went to Villa Angela and Wildwood State Parks on east side of Cleveland on the lakefront today, Sims Park in Euclid, Bluestone Business Park across from Euclid Square Mall and a few other Euclid locations.  The lake had winds of 18mph either west or WSW.  The new birds I saw for the year today were seven Killdeer at Bluestone Business Park in the wet fields and one male Eastern Towhee at Villa Angela SP.  Towhees don't spend the winter at this park but this winter the Carolina Wren did.  Last weekend there were seven Horned Larks at Bluestone but none were seen today.

I have been going to Sims Park just about every weekend.  The Common Goldeneye numbers have gone down, 2/12 were 115, 2/17 were 97, 2/19 were 60, 2/26 were 32, and today I saw about 35 but had to go on bluff to see with the high waves.  Last weekend there were a few Common Mergansers but didn't see any today.  Small numbers of Red-breasted Mergansers (less than 100) today.
