Just wanted to report a sighting of American Woodcocks at Wolf Creek Park.
Saturday evening just about dusk we heard a couple making their zeet sound
and then heard one of them go into its mating ritual. Got a good look at
one on the ground. We have found them there for several years now so
heading there almost any evening you should be rewarded with this great
spring spectacle. The Park is located off of SR 53 in Sandusky County.
Park in the southern most park entrance parking area (not the campground
area) and watch the small grassy field right next to the parking area.
