I was along the lake in Painesville Township this morning doing some
surveys. There was a great movement of birds. The best birds were a pair
of sandhill cranes flying to the east, a Louisiana waterthrush, and 200+
golden-crowned kinglets. There were good numbers of other birds and a
decent hawk flight. Here are some of the highlights of the morning:

Turkey vulture 300+
Sharp-shinned hawk 4
Cooper's hawk 1
Red-shouldered hawk 2 (both immatures)
red-tailed hawk 16
Rough-legged hawk 1
American kestrel 1
SANDHILL CRANE 2
Yellow-bellied sapsucker 7
Northern flicker 150+
Brown creeper 20+
Golden-crowned kinglet 200+
American pipit 5
Yellow-rumped warbler 6
LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH 1
Eastern towhee 9
Chipping sparrow 50+
Field sparrow 2
Fox sparrow 20+
