headed out with a student after school today(his first birding adventure) Whiskey Island/Wendy Park @ 4:25  66*very light wind south slightly west - ripples,not waves walked from parking lot near marina to lake, along lake east to the wooded area, along the tree line along the shore to the river, out to the Coast Guard Station, back and up the drivewayalong the RR tracks back to the parking lot.Seen there was - Northern Mockingbird - 7 (FOY)Killdeer - 1American Coot - 15-ishMallard - 6DCCormorant - 10+Song Sparrow - 15+ARobin - 30+RWBbird - 20+RBGull - 200+Herring Gull - 25+CanGoose - 50+MoDove - 5 5:30 behind Rock & Roll Hall of FameAmerican Coot - 14CaGoose - 12a few gulls 5:40 drive along northern marginal toward 55thPerrigrine Falcon - 1 (dive bombing flocks of RWBbird @ airporta few American Coots in various marinas and ONLY 2 RBMergs!mix in a few more CaGeese @ The JCoots - 20-ishCaGeese - 20+Mute Swan - 1 (FOY)Mallard - 2note - nothing east of The J to CEI 6:25 CEI to Gordon LaunchNO ducks/geese anywhere!only a couple swimming gulls and a couple dozen gulls flying about 6:30 Dike 14lots and lots of Robins (50+)lots and lots and lots of RWBbirds (more than Robins)lots of Song Sparrows - 30-ishGolden-crowned Kinglet - 8 (at least)DEJunco - 1CGrackle - 1Woodcock - 1on walk back passing Gordon i saw the following in the H2O     Ring-necked Duck - 2     Coot - 6     Mallard - 2    CaGoose - 20+E Starling - 20+ buster
