At 9am on Sunday, March 25, my first ASY male PURPLE MARTIN arrived, landed on the aluminum martin house, and began singing. I was alerted to his presence by his song. I am excited and concerned simultaneously. I am always happy to see them return, but we have freeze warnings out for tonight, and rain is predicted early in the week. Not the best weather for Purple Martins.
