I thought I saw a completely white Red-Tailed Hawk on a nest along I-77 between Parkersburg and Williamstown, WV about a month ago. There was a normal color Red-Tailed Hawk soaring in toward the nest as I drove by. Well today I saw the hawk standing on the nest. As far as I can tell, it is pure white although I have not seen it in flight. It is very easy to see right now especially with the leaves still not out. The nest is located on the northbound side of I-77 near the 183 mile marker. In fact if you pull over at the 183 mile marker between Parkersburg and Williamstown, WV and look straight ahead and up you can't miss the nest. I would estimate that it is in about 30-50 feet from the edge of the road (of course that is just my memory of it). I saw it around 1:15pm. It's a great opportunity to see a beautiful hawk if you can get there.
