A western meadowlark was singing near the bike trail E of Dalton
today at 12:30. The call was coming from an island of trees in the
open farm fields N of the trail.

Take West Lebanon Rd (Eastern Wayne Co.) S from US 30 about 1/4 mile
to the trail and parking area on the left. Head E on the trail about
1/2 mile, over a bridge and look for a sign the reads 8.5.

The trees the bird was singing from is almost directly N from this
sign, though if the bird is singing you may hear it before that
point.
