At Highbanks Metro Park (just north of Columbus on Rt. 23), a Bald Eagle
pair are nesting again. Walk through the woods to the Observation Deck and
look to your right while facing the river- you'll see the large eagle nest
in the sycamore tree in the distance where the river bends. I saw one eagle
on the nest yesterday morning between 10 and 11:30 AM; occasionally an eagle
would fly over the river or perch on a sturdy tree branch in the area. You
may have to be patient; I saw an eagle flying 3 fairly brief times in the 90
minutes I was there. Take a spotting scope or a good pair of binoculars to
see the eagle on the nest, as it is a bit distant.

Good birding!
