I birded a along the Westerville bikepath yesterday and was able to easily find one of the bridge Screech Owls, a red phase sitting up in the north beam. The tree-hole gray Screech further north along the trail was a no-show, however, but could have been down in the cavity. It will be interesting to see when they leave these spots, since we don't have any nesting season records here.

Elsewhere along the bikepath, Spring wasn't too much in evidence. The creek and Otterbein Lake had little in the way of waterfowl other than the expected geese & mallards. The only obvious migrants were several male Redwings calling in a small roost along the creek and a Turkey Vulture coming in to roost in the trees around the community garden in Cherrington Park.
