Julie Karlson, Larry Jeanblanc, and I were birding at Buck Creek State Park
this morning. At the north end of the lake we were looking over the ducks,
geese, and gulls when Julie spotted a white goose. It turned out to be a
Ross's Goose. We got great looks at it through the scope. While we were
looking over the goose, two Lesser Yellowlegs flew in and landed quite close
to us. There are quite a few ducks scattered around the lake but you need a
scope and need to look from multiple locations to see them. They tended to
be more in the north part the lake.

Buck Creek State Park is in Clark County just northeast of Springfield.
