I found 7 American Avocets in gorgeous breeding plumage this afternoon  at
the inland beach at Maumee Bay State Park in Lucas County. The birds were
flushed several times by dog-walkers and beachgoers while I was there, but
returned to the beach afterwards. They were still present when I left at
2:00.
