Some nice finds at Bath NP this evening. While searching the fields for
Meadowlarks, I saw a Great Egret flush into a tree near a wetland on
adjacent property. I probably would have missed it if I hadn't already been
scanning. I saw at least 9 meadowlarks. A pair of wood ducks flew over. A
pair of kestrels, several towhees, flickers and numerous bluebirds were
also observed. A great horned owl was heard calling at sundown.
Surprisingly, no brown thrashers were seen or heard.
