Today in northeast Stark County on my way home from work in Alliance to Marlboro and then in our yard--- Red Admirals everywhere.
I have never seen that many --- ever---anywhere. Very cool. Even had one land on me.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Off topic: Red Admiral migration/movement, Richland--Wayne County

Today - with strong winds out of the south and temperatures up to 76
egrees, I observed what I would call an early migration of Red Admiral
utterflies.
rom circa 10 a.m.till 1:30 in Mansfield to 2:30 to 7 p.m. in Wooster,
specially during my trip from the Mansfield to Wooster, I saw 4-6 dozen
utterflies either in the protection of buildings early and late or
oving generally from south to north along Route 30 between 1:30 and 2:30.
Did anyone else notice this movement?
Roger Troutman
