Surrogate owl parents,

     The young Great Horned Owls nesting in my back back yard were
stretching and flapping their wings on the nest yesterday, and will soon be
ready for their first attempts at flight.  I'll try for a few more photos
today, but I'm guessing that they will be out and about in less than a
week.  While I obviously wish them well, I'll miss these guys when they
leave the nest.
