I arrived before dawn. Had two Whip-poor-wills--one on the road past the
Boy Scout Camp about 0.5 - 1 mile beyond the camp entrance along with a
"peenting" Am. Woodcock and the second Whip at Odell Creek and Evans
Roads. Spent most of the morning until about 11 am on Odell, the gravel
part in SSF. Fourteen species of warblers, all heard, most seen: Ovenbird
16, Am. Redstart 3, Common Yellowthroat 3, Yellow-breasted Chat 1, Hooded
8, Blue-winged 6, Black and White 3, Prairie 4, Chesnut-sided 1,
Black-throated Green 1, Cerulean 2, Yellow-throated 10, and Yellow-rumped
10 Warblers and Louisianna Waterthrush 3. Red-eyed 4, White-eyed 6 and
Blue-headed 1 Vireos. Wood Thrush 4, Scarlet Tanager 4, Orchard Oriole 1
and Indigo Bunting 1. Cold and very wet. I also drove Pond Lick Road from
SR 125 to the top and drove to the right on the gravel road to the signed
overlook. Also stopped by the boat ramp, campground and the lodge.
