I apologize for the late post but after seeing all the posts about the
willets at Hoover today, this news seems to have lost its luster.

Around 6:15 this morning, I saw a flock of about 30 willets (life bird for
me) flying back and forth at Twin Lakes. I watched them for about 20
minutes waiting for them to put down which they never did. I left to see
what else I could find there. When I came back around 7:40, the willets
were no where to be found. The full species list follows.
Double Crested Cormorant
Great Egret
Great Blue Heron
Green Heron
Canada Goose
Mallard
Wood Duck
Turkey Vulture
Cooper's Hawk
