The following report is from Margaret Bowman. Notice the Henslow's sparrows.
Some boy scouts also found a Meadowlark nest on Saturday. No signs of
Bobolinks yet but will report back when they return.

Falconry program and demonstration this Saturday. Check out the website at

From the parking lot, I walked along the creek to the metal bridge, which I
crossed. Then I turned left and walked along the horse trail past the
woods, toward the neighbor's wetland. I took the mowed shortcut back to the
bridge and then walked up the hill along the woods toward the upper bluebird
boxes. At the gate, I turned right and walked that horse trail all around
the field. I didn't find any bobolinks or meadowlarks today, the latter a
surprise miss. Also the mockingbird that was hanging around didn't put in
an appearance this afternoon - would have swept the mimids category if he
had. Still no hummingbirds, but they're on the way if not already arrived.
